I have been so blessed by my opportunities to play trombone. Playing and performing on trombone has been a love and delight of my life, made possible through the help and instruction of many fine musicians who generously gave of their time.

Sincerely,
Dr. Edward L Griffin

"...Trombonist Ed Griffin formed the group Griffin in 2009. Their latest recording, A Taste of Autumn, features many well-known jazz standards with a couple of pop/easy listening tunes included. Throughout the CD, Ed Griffin's tone is consistently warm and pure. There are even times when the influence of J. J. Johnson can be heard just under the surface. This is especially true of songs such as Old Devil Moon and My Funny Valentine.

The group's efforts at presenting some of the most beautiful and sophisticated works in the Great American Songbook are to be commended. Ed Griffin sounds fantastic as a trombonist..."
